Individuals who wish to enter a TraceTogether-only SafeEntry venue need to have either TraceTogether App or TraceTogether Token. Their SafeEntry check-ins can only be conducted by (i) using their TraceTogether App to scan the venue’s QR code; or (ii) presenting the QR codes printed on their TraceTogether Tokens to be scanned by the venue (in the same way NRIC/FIN/other IDs are now scanned for entry).
When TraceTogether-only SafeEntry is implemented, venues will not be able to admit individuals without TraceTogether App or TraceTogether Token. For extenuating circumstances under which some individuals may need to be granted entry despite not having a TraceTogether Token or App, venue operators may choose to manually assist the individual to check in via NRIC/FIN/ID scanning. This is expected to be used only in exceptional circumstances at the venue operator's discretion.
The public should therefore be mindful that trying to enter a TraceTogether-only SafeEntry venue without carrying their TraceTogether App or Token risks possible denial of entry or may cause obstruction/ delays to others.
