Since 17 May, check-ins via non-TT modes, such as scanning of identity cards, scanning of venue QR code with mobile phone camera, Singpass App or other QR code reader apps will be disabled. Venues should allow entry to individuals who have successfully performed SafeEntry check-in using their TT App or TT Token.
TT-only SE venues must be able to accept TT App and TT token check-ins. Venue operators can continue to use their existing SE QR code to facilitate TT App check-in. To allow for TT Token check-in, venues must have deployed the SEGW Box , or use the SEGW function found in the latest version of the SafeEntry (Business) App. Businesses may also scan the QR code on TT Token, either through a smartphone camera within the SafeEntry (Business) App, or through an external device (e.g. 2D scanners).
Before the 17 May, a new poster with updated SafeEntry check-in instructions (but with the venue QR code unchanged) was sent to the venues’ business emails. Venues have to replace existing SafeEntry posters with these new ones.
This scanning mode can be implemented by downloading the SafeEntry (Business) mobile app or loading the browser version of the app available at “www.SafeEntry.gov.sg > Scan Visitor” (link is https://www.safeentry.gov.sg/scanner_login) on any smartphone. Venues with higher footfall may wish to use a laptop connected to an external 2D scanner.
